The Best Hangover Cure?

After drinking far too much cider late last night, I woke up feeling rather hung over. I needed something refreshing to get me up and ready for the day and this smoothie recipe is the perfect cure. Trust me, it does wonders!
- 2 medium mangos
- 1 large pomegranate
- half a teaspoon vanilla paste
- 250ml milk
- zest of 1 lime
- First of all, cut the mango into small cubes. If you haven’t done this before it can be a little awkward to get to grips with due to the oval-shaped stone in the middle. The best way to tackle it is to run your knife either side of the stone then trim around it with a smaller knife.
- Add the mango to a blender along with the vanilla paste, milk and the zest of one lime. Blitz until smooth then pass through a fine sieve to remove the left over flesh, feel free to leave it in if you prefer it.
- Garnish with a few pomegranate seeds in a tall glass and enjoy!
I instantly felt better after a cold glass of this. Better than anything you can get in the shops, and you know everything that went into it! Tweak the recipe by adding sugar if you find it too sour, or using lemon instead of lime, or both. Add pomegranate juice to the mixture instead of milk, or use half and half measurements. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did, apart from those awkward mangos 😉
